We are awash in a sea of knowledge. We are told every day what we want, what we need, and what we should do. Yet without context or connection, knowledge means nothing. Knowledge is not equivalent to wisdom. Wisdom cannot be told to you. It cannot be found on the Internet. It can only be gained on a personal quest to acquire it. Philosophy is that quest.
Others could outline it otherwise, but to me, knowledge is that the synthesis of information and experiences into insights that deepen our understanding of the that means of life. each is needed as a result of theories while not experiences will prove false, and experiences while not theories will fail to be universal. Once you start to achieve knowledge, 2 outstanding things will occur: 1) you start to grasp your purpose and the way to attain it, and 2) you start to attach your knowledge to it of people across house and time. Patterns emerge like support steps and, as you climb up, you may begin to expertise the unity of all things. –Justarius
