How to Use Alexa on Your Mac

You can use the Alexa app to drop in on your family and friends. If you want to use Drop In, you must have their permission. To begin, open the app and tap the Communicate menu bar. Then, tap the Contacts icon in the upper right corner. Scroll down to the contact you want to drop in on, and toggle the Allow Drop In setting. Once you’ve done this, you can begin using your Mac to call and chat with Alexa.

To use Drop In, you must have two Echo devices in your home. You can start a conversation by saying, “Alexa, drop in.” To end the conversation, just say, “Alexa, hang up.” Make sure to turn off Do Not Disturb mode on your Mac to prevent Drop In calls from interrupting your conversations. There are other options for Drop In, including only permitted contacts, only connected devices, or nobody.

To use Alexa on your Mac, you need to be logged in to your Amazon account. If you don’t have an account, you can create one by signing up for free or setting up a new one. Once you have an account, you’ll need to set up your device. You can then choose from a list of compatible devices. You can also adjust the settings on your smart home devices through Alexa.
